Thomas Bell, president of the defense business at Rolls-Royce, has been appointed to serve in the additional roles of president and CEO for the company’s North American subsidiary.
He will succeed Marion Blakey, who is due to retire by the end of June after three years at the helm, Rolls-Royce said Wednesday.
Bell rejoined the company in February after serving as senior vice president of global sales and marketing at Boeing‘s defense, space and security business.
His more than 20-year career at Boeing also includes time as VP of strategy and business capture within the BDS organization and as VP of business development for military aircraft and global services and support.
Earlier in his career, he worked at Lockheed Martin‘s manned spaceflight unit.
