Rick Aviation has won a potential five-year, $27.5 million contract to provide contractor owned and operated propeller aircraft to support airborne threat simulation activities of Department of the Navy fleet customers.
The Defense Department said Monday Rick Aviation will support DON’s Contracted Air Services program that aims to train shipboard and aircraft squadron weapon systems operators and aircrew.
The program is meant to aid simulation in various preparedness efforts that include air intercept control training, multinational and small, single unit exercises and traffic collision avoidance.
Work will occur at various locations within and outside the continental U.S. through March 2023.
The Naval Air Warfare Center’s Aircraft Division received three offers for the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract through a small business set-aside competition.
