RCR Tomlinson has received a potential 10-year, $71.9 million contract from BAE Systems to provide facility management services for the Australian military’s Jindalee Operational Radar Network.
RCR said Monday it will maintain power, fire, electrical, bulk fuel storage, ground and heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems across over-the-horizon radar sites as part of the JORN Phase 6 project.
The company will also provide waste management and water treatment services.
BAE’s Australia-based subsidiary leads the project to modernize and extend the operational life of the country’s long-range military radar network to beyond 2042.
The project involves the replacement of majority of hardware and software platforms that compose JORN.
