The U.S. Navy has awarded Northrop Grumman a one-year, $46.8 million contract modification to support mission modules of the service branch’s Littoral Combat Ships.
Northrop will engineer, sustain and provide technical services for LCS mission modules through March 2019, the Defense Department said Wednesday.
DoD noted the modification exercises options under a previously awarded contract.
The Naval Sea Systems Command will obligate $5.7 million at the time of award from the service branch’s fiscal 2018 “other” procurement; research, development, test and evaluation; operation and maintenance; and fiscal 2014 shipbuilding and conversion funds.
