Nic Anderson, managing director of Babcock‘s land defense business, has been appointed to serve as managing director of QinetiQ‘s air and space segment and join its executive committee.
His appointment is effective May and he will replace John Anderson, who is due to retire from QinetiQ by the end of April, the company said Wednesday.
Anderson joined Babcock in 2010 upon its acquisition of VT Group and previously served as managing director of CAE‘s U.K. operations, where he led the establishment of a civil flight training center
He started his industry career at BAE Systems after he earned a degree in electrical and electronic engineering.
Anderson holds a doctorate degree in engineering.
