Jairo Soterio, former marketing manager for Latin America at Rockwell Collins, has been named as the company’s managing director for the region.
Rockwell Collins said Wednesday Soterio will oversee its LATAM government and commercial systems business operations as the demand for military radios, C-130 and P-3 cockpit upgrade services, simulators and training continues to increase.
“We’ve expanded across the region in an effort to help our customers succeed, provide local support and better understand their needs,” Soterio said.
He previously led the company’s marketing strategies and sales support functions in the LATM region.
Before Rockwell Collins, he spent 13 years at Embraer‘s defense and security business and held program management, marketing, sales engineering, product support and market intelligence positions there.
