Harris has received a $24.5 million contract modification from the U.S. Navy to provide Integrated Defensive Electronic Countermeasures systems to Kuwait as part of a foreign military sales deal.
The company will produce 14 IDECM AN/ALQ-214 A(V)4/5 jammer systems for the Kuwaiti government under lot 15 full-rate production, the Defense Department said Monday.
Work will occur in New Jersey, California and other locations within the continental U.S. through May 2021.
The service branch will use FMS funds for the modification and the company will receive all funds at the time of award.
ALQ-214 is designed to integrate with the F/A-18 carrier-based fighter aircraft.
Harris is also producing 86 lot 15 onboard jammer systems for the Navy and the Australian government under a separate $161 million modification awarded in February.
