Gemalto Adds Security Features to Color Laser Tech for Govt ID Documents - top government contractors - best government contracting eventGemalto has introduced two laser-personalized tools designed to secure polycarbonate documents such as driver’s licenses, national identification cards, passports and resident and voting permit cards.

The company said Wednesday it offers the Color Variable Microtext and Color Window  systems as additional options in the Color Laser Shield product range.

Both features are designed to help government customers prevent forgery and verify document holders.

Color Variable Microtext works to enhance the level 2 document security feature through the addition of colored, high-resolution characters.

Color Window employs a see-through element in color to make laser-engraved cards hard to copy and easy to inspect.
