Steve Grewal, formerly deputy chief information officer at the General Services Administration, has joined Cohesity as chief technology officer of federal and Eastern U.S. business at the San Jose, California-based data storage vendor.
The 15-year government information technology veteran will lead Cohesity’s expansion efforts expansion efforts in the federal market, Cohesity said Wednesday.
Prior to his two-year tenure at GSA, Grewal worked at the Education Department from 2010 to 2016 in roles such as IT service deputy director, CIO, CTO and chief information security officer.
He also worked as director of operations support at the Department of Health and Human Services and as information systems security officer at the Transportation Department.
Cohesity offers a hyperconverged secondary data storage platform to the public sector.
