Artificial intelligence company BullFrog AI has licensed a data analysis tool developed by Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory through the Department of Homeland Security‘s Transition to Practice Program.
The licensing agreement grants BullFrog exclusive rights to use the Socrates data analysis platform for biopharmaceutical applications, DHS said Thursday.
Socrates is built to determine patterns and relationships in large-scale and complex data sets across social, financial, energy, biological and cyber domains.
DHS included the graph analytics tool in the 2016 lineup of the TTPÂ program that helps bring innovations created at federal laboratories, universities and federally-funded research and development centers to the commercial marketplace.
TTP has since transitioned approximately 20 technologies over the past five years through commercialization and open-source release.
BullFrog is an investor-backed AI firm that collaborates with the biopharmaceutical industry to identify the link between therapies and patients.
