Lisa Disbrow, former undersecretary and acting secretary of the U.S. Air Force, has been named a senior fellow at the Johns Hopkins University’s Applied Physics Laboratory.
She will work with APL’s technical professionals to help inform policy and technology decisionmaking in the U.S. government and military, the laboratory said Tuesday.
Disbrow managed nearly 660,000 airmen and USAF’s $135 billion annual budget during her two-year tenure as USAF undersecretary.
In that capacity, she was also responsible for strategy and policy development, weapons acquisition, risk management, technology investment, human resource functions.
She spent 23 years in uniformed service before retiring with the rank of colonel in 2008.
