The U.S. Air Force has tasked Xerox to aid the service branch’s document management activities and replace USAF document equipment with new multifunction tools throughout 2019.
The company said Thursday it will provide support to address the Air Force’s print, scan and fax needs, as well as help desk and server management services.
Xerox expects the equipment replacements to reduce the USAF’s use of government-owned document tools by a maximum of 2000 items.
Additionally, Xerox staff will be assigned to manage help desk support, equipment maintenance and print infrastructure for Joint Base Andrews, Joint Base Anacostia-Boiling and the Pentagon.
Previously, USAF printing activities were not managed centrally and instead were facilitated per individual squadron.
