Unisys has received a National Information Assurance Partnership accreditation to make its microsegmentation security software platform available to government agencies seeking to protect classified data and systems that run on Microsoft 10 and Windows Server 2016 operating systems.
The company said Thursday the expanded certification for the Stealth software came two years after NIAP initially issued accreditation for the platform following evaluation against international security standards.
The expanded accreditation also covers certification of Stealth under the National Security Agency’s Commercial Solutions for Classified program that allows critical infrastructure and foreign governments to buy the software to safeguard classified IT systems.
Stealth is part of Unisys’ portfolio of security platforms designed to provide security consulting support, cybersecurity analytics consulting and security managed services to clients.
The National Institute of Standards and Technology and NSA established the NIAP certification that is recognized by government agencies across 28 countries such as the U.K., Canada, Australia, Malaysia and Germany.
