Saab has received an $18.6 million order from Sweden’s defense materiel administration to equip Swedish navy platforms with multitactical data links.
The company said Tuesday it will provide Link 16 and Link 22 to the military service and update the 9LV Combat Management System on board the branch’s surface warfare vessels.
Saab designed its 9LV CMS is designed to function as a command and control center for surface vessels and submarines.
Link 16 is a tactical data exchange network designed to facilitate tactical data exchange between NATO and allied military aircraft, ships and ground forces.
Link 22 functions as a maritime supplement to Link 16.
