Raytheon has received a one-year, $56 million delivery order to provide repair services for APG-65 and APG-73 radar systems installed on the U.S. Navy‘s F/A-18 aircraft.
The Defense Department said Monday the Navy will obligate $27.4 million in fiscal 2018 working capital funds at the time of award.
Raytheon will repair the aircraft radars at a company facility located in Indianapolis, Indiana, through February 2019.
APG-73 is an updated version of the APG-65 radar technology and equipped with programmable digital processors meant to support air-to-air and air-to-surface operations.
