Parsons Launches Fellows Program for Technical Professionals - top government contractors - best government contracting eventParsons has formed a Fellows Program in a move to recognize the company’s top technical professionals and encourage innovation in helping customers address technical challenges.

Members of the Fellows Program will be appointed based on their expertise in a scientific, engineering or technology discipline; industry recognition and awards; and contributions to Parsons’ projects and programs, among others, the company said Wednesday.

Fellows will work to address technical challenges through tactical problem solving; research and development; and best practice improvements.

The group will also represent the engineering services company in client engagements, professional meetings, conferences and other events.

“The program is a way to acknowledge our subject matter experts who may not serve in traditional project management roles,” said Parsons Chairman and CEO Chuck Harrington.

“Not only will Parsons Fellows serve in an advisory capacity, they will also have the opportunity to act as distinguished technical role models and mentor other Fellows,” said Virginia Grebbien, Parsons chief of staff.

Grebbien was named chairwoman of the program’s board and will lead board members including:

  • Tom Burns, senior vice president
  • Mohamed El-Basyouny, project manager
  • Elie Homsi, senior vice president
  • Hamid Iravani, transportation planning director
  • Venkat Rao, program director and health market lead
  • Tom Spoth, vice president and national bridge practice lead

Parsons will announce the first batch of fellows in March and induct them in June.
