Maury Blackman, formerly president and CEO of San Ramon, California-based government technology company Accela, has been appointed to similar roles at Premise Data.
Blackman will help Premise Data provide government agencies and companies with a data and analytics platform designed to help them derive actionable intelligence from data gathered by a “network of on-the-ground contributors,†the company said Tuesday.
The 20-year technology industry veteran will also advance the San Francisco-based information technology firm’s talent recruitment efforts to expand its capabilities and workforce of data scientists, network operators, technologies and subject matter experts.
He was at the helm of Accela for nearly a decade and prior to that, served as senior vice president of sales and marketing.
Blackman also sits on the boards of Omnia Partners, Forensic Logic and Govlist and serves as an adviser and investor in Urban Innovation Fund.
Prior to Accela, he served as a sales and marketing executive at Investools, formerly Telescan, and in the U.S. Army as a field artillery officer.
