David Zolet, CEO of management consulting firm LMI, has been appointed to the First Responder Network Authority’s board of directors.
Zolet will serve a three-year term on the board that oversees FirstNet’s work with AT&T to build and run a national broadband network for first responders, the Commerce Department said Thursday.
Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross said Zolet and the three other appointed board members will leverage their decades of private and public sector experience to help FirstNet establish a communications network designed to meet emergency responders’ needs.
Zolet joined LMI in 2017 after seven years at DXC Technology, formerly Computer Sciences Corp., where he served as executive vice president and general manager for the Americas region and North American public sector lead.
Prior to DXC, he also held senior leadership roles at IBM and Northrop Grumman.
Zolet, a 2018 Wash100 recipient, has more than three decades of leadership experience across engineering, business development, client relations and strategic planning areas.
