Leidos has teamed up with IBM, Unisys and Verizon‘s enterprise solutions arm to bid on a U.S. Navy follow-on contract to deliver enterprise information technology services.
The Next Generation Enterprise Networks Re-compete Service Management, Integration and Transport program will cover IT and support services to the Navy Marine Corps Intranet, Marine Corps Enterprise Network and the Outside of the Continental United States Navy Enterprise Network, Leidos said Monday.
Leidos Chairman and CEO Roger Krone, a 2018 Wash100 recipient, said that the merger with Lockheed Martin‘s former information systems and global solutions business helped Leidos expand its capacity to deliver “agile” and “speed to mission” IT offerings.
The group aims to offer research and development, technology leadership and security experience needed to support the Navy’s transition to a modernized system.
The current NGEN contract is scheduled to end on June 27.
