Greg Wallig, formerly regional leader of Atlantic Coast advisory services business at Grant Thornton, has been named as the company’s managing partner for the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area.
Grant Thornton said Monday Wallig will oversee customer service, growth and talent development efforts at the company’s office in Arlington, Virginia.
The 13-year company veteran succeeds Jamie Fowler and will work with executives within the public sector and Washington national tax groups in his new capacity.
Wallig previously led Grant Thornton’s public sector risk advisory service line for five years and served as the first information assurance leader for the firm’s public sector audit practice.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in international relations and mathematics from the College of William and Mary.
