Fortinet has introduced an artificial intelligence platform designed to automate analysis and detection of cyber threats.
The cybersecurity company said Tuesday the FortiGuard AI threat intelligence tool was produced through a five-year effort of Fortinet’s research group, FortiGuard Labs, to develop automated threat analysis and detection.
FortiGuard AI uses machine learning and continuous training to constantly update itself and autonomously gather, analyze and classify threats.
The threat detection system is part of Fortinet’s threat intelligence services platform and is meant to power all threat detection tools shared across a network of FortiGuard services called the Security Fabric.
Fortinet also launched the cloud-based FortiGuard Threat Intelligence Service, which gives organizations a view of their unique threat intelligence metrics and activity trends.
In addition, the company integrated new user entity and behavioral analysis features into its FortiSIEM security information and event management offering.
FortiSIEM version 5.0 is designed to detect patterns in user behavior and notify security operations teams about potential anomalous activities.
