Five companies have gained priority status to work with the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program Joint Authorization Board to offer cloud products to the federal government.
FedRAMP’s program management office said Feb. 15 it chose the five cloud service providers as part of the FedRAMP Connect program based on existing and potential government customer demand for their products as well as their FedRAMP Ready status.
The selected CSPs and their offerings are:
- Teletrac Navman’s Fleet Management Solutions subsidiary – DIRECTOR
- Infor – Infor Government Software-as-a-Service
- ManTech International – Continuous Diagnostic and Mitigation Shared Services
- Monster Government Solutions – Monster Hiring Management Enterprise
- Xerox – Managed Print Services for U.S. Federal Government
FedRAMP PMO said it reviewed the business cases of CSPs interested in obtaining a JAB authorization to determine the possible benefits of their services for different federal government agencies.
ExecutiveBiz reported Feb. 2 that George Moraetes, chief information security officer and architect at Securityminders, believes there is still a need for federal agencies to conduct cloud risk assessments when evaluating a CSP’s compliance with FedRAMP standards.
Seven companies initially received prioritized status under FedRAMP Connect.
The biannual initiative aims to assist companies in connecting with agency CIOs and buyers and expand the marketplace of FedRAMP-certified products and services.
