Kathleen McGovern, a 14-year veteran of the Justice Department, has joined Ernst & Young‘s Washington, D.C. office as a principal in its fraud investigation and dispute services practice.
EY said Friday McGovern joins other former government officials working in the company’s FIDS group and brings more than two decades of prosecutorial experience to her new position.
She most recently served as senior deputy chief of fraud section within DOJ’s criminal division and managed a team of more than 150 attorneys focused on white-collar criminal investigations.
McGovern also served as the department’s representative for the U.S. delegation to an Organization for Economic Co-Operation and Development working group on bribery and corruption.
She also helped DOJ establish and implement its Foreign Corrupt Practices Act pilot program.
Before she joined the federal government, McGovern worked as a New York state prosecutor.
