Cobham Says 2017 Airborne Tactical Radio Sales Exceed Forecast - top government contractors - best government contracting eventCobham has reported that sales of the company’s software-based airborne tactical radio offering over the past year exceeded its previous estimate.

The company said Monday it sold RT-7000 radios to various clients that include government and military aviation organizations in North and South America, Asia and Europe.

RT-7000 is built with modules that operators can update to address evolving requirements and missions, as well as to ensure that aircraft current with industry’s various radio communications standards.

John Payne, general manager of Cobham’s aerospace communications business, said the company intends to showcase its airborne radio technology at the Army Aviation Mission Solutions Summit, Heli-Expo and other international events in the coming months.

The radio is designed to support communications in law enforcement, fire suppression, utility, health emergency medical services, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance operations.
