Matt Gutierrez, a more than 17-year veteran of Level 3 Communications, has been appointed senior managing director of CenturyLink‘s Asia-Pacific business.
CenturyLink said Tuesday Gutierrez will manage the company’s operations, sales and marketing functions in the region as well as work with government, enterprise and wholesale customers to help address their digital transformation goals.
His career at Level 3 includes time as interim regional president, senior vice president and finance director for Europe, Middle East and Africa.
He also served in leadership roles at Global Crossing and AT&T.
