AECOM Selected for Boston Airport Terminal Modernization Project - top government contractors - best government contracting eventThe Massachusetts Port Authority has selected a team of AECOM and Luis Vidal + Architects to administer modernization efforts at Terminal E of Boston’s Logan International Airport.

AECOM said Monday it will serve as the project’s prime consultant and oversee architectural and engineering design work on approximately 400,000 square feet of terminal space.

Luis Vidal will serve as vision architect for the project.

Efforts will cover terminal renovation and ticketing system enhancement, as well as construction of a security checkpoint, baggage systems, airline clubs, concession space and a central hall.

The team aims to secure U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED Gold certification for the modernized terminal.

AECOM previously helped Massport renovate the A380 accommodation and terminal at Boston Logan.
