Salesforce and IBM will combine their cloud and artificial intelligence offerings and expand their strategic partnership to help companies connect and boost collaboration with client organizations.
IBM said Friday the companies will merge the IBM Cloud and Watson services with Salesforce Quip and Salesforce Service Cloud Einstein to create new IBM WatsonQuip Live applications designed to boost the effectiveness of sales teams with the help of Quip’s document creation and editing features.
“The combination of IBM Cloud and Watson services with Salesforce Einstein and Quip will deliver even more innovation to empower companies to connect with their customers in a whole new way, leveraging the power of the cloud and AI,” said Marc Benioff, chairman and CEO of Salesforce.
Salesforce also selected IBM as a preferred cloud services provider while IBM picked Salesforce as a preferred customer engagement platform for sales and services.
