Rockwell Collins to Help Manage USAF Airborne Radio Parts Supply Chain - top government contractors - best government contracting eventRockwell Collins has received a three-year, $22 million contract from the Defense Logistics Agency to manage the supply chain for replacement parts on U.S. Air Force airborne radio systems.

The initial contract covers supply chain management services for AN/ARC-171, AN/ARC-190 and AN/ARR-85 communications platforms being maintained at Robins Air Force Base, the company said Wednesday.

Alan Prowse, vice president and managing director of Rockwell Collins’ Americas business, said the company has collaborated with DLA and the AFB’s maintenance department to develop a tailored parts management system to help address warfighter mission needs.

The company seeks to help increase the service branch’s demand visibility at the depot maintenance line, manage inventory and infrastructure costs, support engineering operations, provide value-added logistics and address  obsolescence issues through the contract.
