General Dynamics will create and transfer approximately 280 jobs in Plano, Texas as part of a more than $5.3 billion investment on real property and business personal property improvements to the company’s facility in the region, Dallas Business Journal reported Monday.
The company will move operations previously conducted in Richardson to Plano, Texas where General Dynamics will occupy approximately 104,000 square-feet of space.
Carol Taska Smith, spokesperson for General Dynamics, said the company has outgrown its facility in Richardson and noted the new space will accommodate the organization’s current workforce.
The report noted the city of Plano will also give the company a $176,400 economic incentive for the job creation and transfer.
