TJ Kennedy, former president of the First Responder Network Authority, has joined the advisory board at emergency technology provider RapidSOS.
RapidSOS said Monday Kennedy brings 14 years of public safety, technology and wireless communications experience to the company’s advisory board.
He led FirstNet during from August 2015 through December 2017 and helped the agency establish a $40 billion public-private partnership that currently works to build a national emergency services network.
“What TJ has accomplished at FirstNet proves that the public and private sectors can partner together to build mission critical technology,” said RapidSOS CEOÂ Michael Martin.
Kennedy previously served as president of Raytheon‘s JPS Communications business and a vice president at Science Applications International Corp.
