A Cisco-built cloud security offering has received an authority to operate at the moderate level from the program management office of the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program.
Nick Michaelides, vice president of Cisco’s U.S. federal sales organization, wrote in a blog entry posted Wednesday the Cloudlock platform also met eligibility requirements for impact level 2 data within the Defense Department.
The Cisco Cloudlock cloud-native cloud access security broker was designed to streamline the utilization of cloud capacities, protect applications, data and identities as well as boost productivity.
Michaelides noted Cloudlock will work to provide actionable cybersecurity intelligence that can offer control and visibility over cloud environments.
Cloudlock has been utilized across 1,000 organizations worldwide including at local, state and federal government institutions.
Cisco also offers WebEx and the Hosted Collaboration Solution for Government platforms which support cloud communications and cloud collaboration respectively.
