Leidos to Continue Navy Signature Silencing Program Support; Mike Chagnon Comments - top government contractors - best government contracting eventLeidos has received a potential five-year, $42 million contract from the Naval Surface Warfare Center’s Carderock Division to continue support services for a signature silencing program at the U.S. Navy‘s Southeast Alaska Measurement Facility.

The company said Tuesday it helps the service branch operate and maintain SEAFAC during acoustic trials as well as repair all facility assets and provide communications and emergency services to the site.

SEAFAC conducts efforts to evaluate, locate and establish quieting strategies for radiated acoustic noise sources.

Mike Chagnon, a Leidos group president, said the company aims to continue providing expertise meant to help SEAFAC “maintain a technical advantage in undersea systems.”

Work under the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract covers program management assistance, logistics, operations and maintenance services to aid Navy and U.S. Marine Corps signature silencing programs that support naval and undersea platforms.
