DARPA Seeks Additional Tech to Complement Military Space Asset Mgmt Systems

The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency has issued a broad agency announcement to seek additional technology platforms that can help U.S. military personnel manage space assets through rapid delivery and presentation of data.

DARPA said Tuesday the Hallmark Tools and Capabilities 2 initiative looks to create and validate technologies to complement a set of tools and systems being merged with Hallmark software testbeds.

“Hallmark aims to more quickly, collaboratively, and cost-effectively develop unprecedented space [battle management command and control] tools,” said Lt. Col. Jeremy Raley, program manager at DARPA’s Tactical Technology Office.

Phase 1 of the Hallmark program sought to build a modular system that would add, remove and exchange tools from multiple sources to support the military’s battle management command-and-control requirements.

DARPA plans to host a proposers day for the Hallmark-TC2 program on Jan. 30 at the DARPA Conference Center in Arlington, Virginia.

Interested parties can submit ideas to the agency through Feb. 21.
