Cubic‘s transportation systems business plans to expand its facility in Hyderabad, India, and double the number of its employees in the country as part of a regional footprint expansion push.
The company said Tuesday the expanded facility will help grow CTS operations after the unit secured contracts to support fare payment systems in Boston and New York.
“Asia-Pacific region continues to be a market of opportunity across our three business divisions at Cubic,†said Bradley Feldmann, president and CEO of Cubic.
“This expansion supports the growth in resources we are focused on for our major engineering centers in the United States, the United Kingdom and Australia,” said Matthew Cole, president of Cubic’s transportation systems business.
The company expects a doubled headcount of its Indian workforce within the next year.
