Comtech Subsidiary to Deliver Infrastructure Equipment to Telesat - top government contractors - best government contracting eventA Comtech Communications subsidiary has received a multi-million dollar order to deliver infrastructure equipment to global satellite firm Telesat.

Comtech EF Data will provide equipment that will be used to support multi-gigabit connectivity coverage over Northern Canada’s Nunavut territory, Comtech said Monday.

The ordered equipment include the CDM-760 Advanced High-Speed Trunking and Broadcast Modem and the FX Series Wide Area Network Optimization.

The CDM-760 was designed to minimize space segment usage, while the FX series was made to support internet protocol packet optimization and traffic management.

These Comtech-produced technologies will be integrated with Telesat’s ka-band spot beams on the Telstar 19 VANTAGE satellite.
