Cascade Aerospace has received a contract to modernize the avionics properties of Mexico’s C-130 Hercules aircraft that has been renamed to the L-100.
The company said Thursday it will install Rockwell Collins‘ Flight2 TM avionics suite onto the aircraft, and provide related training services for personnel within Mexico’s air force.
Training services will be delivered at Cascade’s facility in Abbotsford, British Columbia.
The contract follows the Mexican air force’s recent procurement of two Hercules aircraft equipped with the digital avionics suite from Rockwell Collins.
The award was issued through an agreement signed between Canada and Mexico.
Lockheed Martin designed and produced the C-130 as a versatile transport aircraft with the capacities to also perform other operations such as search and rescue and airborne assault.
