Boeing has received a $12.6 million order from the U.S. Navy to deliver 39 T-45 Goshawk retrofit kits, support equipment and special tools for the trainer aircraft’s service life extension program.
The Defense Department said Wednesday the order also includes retrofit engineering and logistics services meant to address associated government technical directives.
Eighty-six percent of work will occur in Missouri and the rest in California and Texas.
Boeing is scheduled to finish work by September 2019.
The Naval Air Warfare Center is the contracting activity and the service branch will obligate the order’s full amount at the time of award from its fiscal 2017 aircraft procurement funds.
