Boeing has provided a $10 million donation to support programs and services of the Military Service Initiative of the George W. Bush Institute.
The company said Wednesday it donated the money as part of a multiyear, $30 million investment geared toward veteran recovery and rehabilitation and military transition services.
“Through our support of the Military Service Initiative, we plan to ease the burden of the military to civilian transition experience for service members and ensure our heroes are equipped with the resources and health services necessary to succeed in their next mission after military service,” said Dennis Muilenburg, chairman, president and CEO of Boeing.
The donated funds will also support the Bush Institute’s inaugural Stand-To Veteran Leadership Initiative, the Domestic Excellence Endowment Fund and Portraits of Courage traveling exhibit.
Boeing aims to back more than 100 nonprofit organizations that serve veterans in 2018.
