Assured Information Security to Help Air Force Researchers Examine Cyber Assessment Tech - top government contractors - best government contracting eventAssured Information Security has won a potential two-year, $47.9 million contract to help the U.S. Air Force researchers investigate cyber assessment tools designed for telecommunications systems.

The Defense Department said Friday the company will support the Air Force Research Laboratory’s Investigation of Next-Generation Network Operations and Vulnerability Assessment Technology effort, or INNOVATE.

AFRL received two offers for the cost-plus-fixed-fee contract through a competitive procurement process and will obligate $4 million in fiscal 2018 research, development, test and evaluation funds at the time of award.

Work will occur in Rome, New York through Jan. 10, 2020.

AIS partners with government, academic and commercial entities to develop security technology platforms.
