Mikros Systems has completed the installation and testing of the company’s littoral combat maintenance system on the USS Independence.
The company said Tuesday the ADEPT Distance Support Sensor Suite employs sensors to deliver maintenance that corresponds to the ship’s condition, and forecast on-ship errors.
Data generated from the sensors are used as basis for maintenance and logistics operations applied to the ship.
The system builds on Prognostics Framework technology to monitor combat system conditions and apply forecasted data to on-shore systems.
Generated data are stored within a fault-tolerant network designed for security.
The installation of the system adds to Mikros’ fifteen years of contributions to the Navy.
