Kelly Grier, regional managing partner for the U.S. Central Region at accounting and professional services firm EY, has been named U.S. chairman and managing partner-elect, as well as managing partner-elect for the Americas area, effective July 1, 2018.
EY said Thursday the 27-year company veteran will succeed Steve Howe, who is due to retire by Dec. 31, 2018 after 36 years of service.
“Kelly has demonstrated uncompromised integrity and an ability to manage high-performing teams, while delivering exceptional results for EY clients,” said Mark Weinberger, EY global chairman and CEO.
Grier is responsible for market leadership and growth as well as client service and team management in her current position.
She previously served as Americas vice chair for talent and as Chicago office managing partner at EY.
