Melvin Greer, chief data scientist for Intel‘s public sector in the Americas, will deliver a keynote address at the Telecom Exchange NYC 2018 event to be hosted by Jaymie Scotto & Associates and slated to take place June 20 in Hoboken, New Jersey.
He plans to discuss the opportunities and challenges of network platforms based on artificial intelligence and data transformation efforts during his speech at TEX NYC, JSA said Tuesday.
Greer will also participate in a CEO Roundtable discussion titled, “Humans Vs. Machines: AI, Skynet & Network Safeguards.”
“Melvin’s insight will serve as our inspiration as we gather at TEX NYC to talk network innovations, security challenges, and necessary partnerships for the year ahead,” said Jaymie Scotto Cutaia, founder and CEO of JSA said.
In his current role, Greer leads the development of Intel’s data science platform with AI, cognitive computing and machine learning methods in a push to help government and enterprise customers manage data.
He is also a member of the American Association for the Advancement of Science and the Government-University-Industry Research Roundtable at the U.S. National Academy of Science, Engineering and Medicine.
Greer also penned his fifth book, “Practical Cloud Security: A Cross Industry View.”
