Andy Green, president of technical solutions division at Huntington Ingalls Industries, has been elected to the Professional Services Council’s board of directors.
Green is one of the 11 newly elected members who will serve three-year terms on the trade group’s board starting Jan. 1, PSC said Monday.
He will work with other new and re-elected board members to provide policy oversight to the council in support of the government technology and professional services industry.
He oversees HII’s services businesses that include logistics support, undersea drones, training systems, nuclear engineering, fleet maintenance and information technology.
Prior to his current post, he previously served as corporate VP of corporate development and VP of component manufacturing at the Newport News, Virginia-based shipbuilding company.
The U.S. Navy veteran joined HII in 2011 as corporate VP of investor relations.
Green also held leadership roles at Celanese, Wells Fargo and Eaton.
