GSA Issues RFQ for White House’s Centers of Excellence - top government contractors - best government contracting eventThe General Services Administration has asked industry for quotations to provide staffing support for the White House’s proposed centers of excellence, Nextgov reported Thursday.

The proposed CoEs will advance several technology programs such as information technology infrastructure optimization; cloud adoption; service delivery analytics; contact centers; and customer experience.

GSA could award by the end of January three-year contracts that have a one-year base term and two option years and will designate the Agriculture Department as the first client agency.

Responses to the request for quotation are due Jan. 8, according to the report.

The RFQ came two months after GSA sought information on potential vendors to provide support services for the White House Office of American Innovation’s proposed CoEs.

Chris Liddell, director of White House strategic initiatives, announced plans in July to establish CoEs in an effort to promote cross-agency services in the government.
