Engility to Support DoD's CBRNE Defense Efforts Under $8.3B Contract Vehicle - top government contractors - best government contracting eventEngility will assist in the Defense Department‘s research and development activities on defense systems against chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and high-yield explosives through the company’s position on a potential $8.3 billion contract vehicle.

The company said Wednesday it landed a spot on the Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical and Biological Defense’s Joint Enterprise Research, Development, Acquisition and Production/Procurement omnibus contract that seeks support to counter CBRNE threats.

JPEO-CBD administers CBRNE defense systems development, deployment and sustainment for DoD.

Scott Whatmough, senior vice president for the defense and security group at Engility, said the company aims to provide integrated systems engineering and manufacturing services to continue its collaboration with DoD to address CBRNE challenges.

The company will perform recompete and new work under the JE-RDAP contract vehicle, which includes a 10-year base period and an option of five years.

Other DoD initiatives the company is currently working on include the Joint Enterprise Omnibus Professional Engineering and Technical Support and Joint Enterprise Contracted Logistics and Service Support contracts.

DoD announced in November the list of companies awarded positions under JE-RDAP, which the department expects to run through Oct. 3, 2027.
