Booz Allen Hamilton has announced plans to move the technology consulting and engineering company’s Rockville, Maryland-based offices to a single facility in Bethesda by the end of 2019.
The company said Friday approximately 750 of its employees across Montgomery County will transfer to a 65,000 square-foot facility designed with collaborative and innovation work environments.
“The nature of work is changing rapidly, and we are taking steps to ensure that our offices reflect that change,” said Deane Edelman, a Booz Allen vice president.
“We’re providing our employees with open and inspiring workspaces that encourage collaboration and innovation and allow us to continue to attract and retain the best talent who look for a dynamic work environment,” Edelman added.
The Maryland Department of Commerce approved a conditional loan worth $750,000 via the state’s Economic Development Assistance Authority and Fund to support the company’s relocation effort.
Montgomery County also offered $250,000 in conditional grants to help Booz Allen cover relocation costs.
The company currently employs more than 3,800 workers across the state of Maryland.
