Boeing has received a $46.3 million contract modification for upgrade work on the U.S. Air Force‘s fleet of airborne warning and control system aircraft.
The Defense Department said Thursday the modification will definitize a previous undefinitized contract action for the low-rate initial production of the AWACS Diminishing Manufacturing Sources Replacement of Avionics for Global Operations and Navigation program.
The company previously received a potential $13.1 million undefinitized contract to deliver Group A mod kits, Group B mod kits, avionics integration support facility software integration laboratory parts, installation and checkout spares for the DRAGON program.
DoD noted the Air Force Life Cycle Material Command obligated $4 million in fiscal 2017 procurement funds at the time of award.
Work will occur in Oklahoma through Jan. 24, 2022.
