The International Monetary Fund has selected Blue Sky Network to supply satellite-based communications systems for use by IMF personnel who travel to high-risk locations worldwide.
Blue Sky Network said Thursday it will deliver Iridium 9575 Extreme satellite phones under a multiyear contract with IMF.
Extreme is a military-grade handheld device designed with shock/water resistance, voice, data and tracking features.
Gregoire Demory, president of Blue Sky Network, said the company offers satellite communications products designed to offer global coverage even in the absence of ground-based cellular networks.
San Diego-based Blue Sky Network works with public and private sector customers to help them implement satcom systems to manage and track aviation, marine and land or mobile assets.
