Al Thompson, deputy to the president for operations and external relations at KBR‘s government services business, will join the Professional Services Council’s board of directors effective Jan. 1.
Thompson is among the 11 new members who have been elected to serve on the PSC board for a term of up to three years, the council announced Monday.
Before he joined KBRWyle in September 2016, Thompson served as vice president of logistics and healthcare at Honeywell International for four years.
He spent 35 years at the U.S. Navy and retired in 2011 with the rank of vice admiral after he led the Defense Logistics Agency as director.
His military career included leadership positions at the Naval Supply Systems Command; Defense Supply Center in Columbus, Ohio; and Fleet and Industrial Supply Center.
Thompson is also a board member of the National Defense Industrial Association’s board of directors.
