Verizon‘s enterprise solutions business has launched a software-defined wide area network technology designed to help federal customers monitor internet traffic changes due to increased use of cloud and mobile platforms.
The company said Tuesday it developed SD WAN for Government to support customer agencies’ efforts to modernize information technology systems.
SD WAN is designed to comply with the Federal Information Security Management Act and includes application aware routing, application optimization and performance intelligence features.
“Our goal is to help the US federal government improve overall application performance and security to support new and evolving constituency demands,” said Steve Lefrancois, chief technology officer of Verizon’s public sector business.
